Before submitting an entry, participants select which Honours Programme the project will contribute towards.
- NYX Designer Honours (Individual Excellence)
- NYX Design Team Honours (Collaborative Excellence)
Each project may participate in one Honours Programme only throughout the competition year.
Recognition is determined through accumulated NYX Honours Points earned from every winning project.
The highest accumulated scores determine the annual recipients of the NYX Designer Honours and NYX Design Team Honours.

What are the NYX Designer Honours?
The NYX Designer Honours is an annual recognition programme celebrating the Top 10 Individual Designers and Top 10 Design Teams whose accumulated achievements throughout the competition year demonstrate consistent design excellence and lasting professional influence.
Who is eligible for the NYX Designer Honours?
Participants may choose to enter either the NYX Designer Honours (Individual Excellence) or the NYX Design Team Honours (Collaborative Excellence) when submitting their entries. Each submitted project may participate in one Honours Programme only and cannot contribute Honours Points towards both honours simultaneously. Projects entered under the NYX Designer Honours accumulate Honours Points towards the individual designer, while projects entered under the NYX Design Team Honours accumulate Honours Points towards the designated design team or organisation.
How are the NYX Designer Honours determined?
Honours are determined by accumulated NYX Honours Points earned from winning projects:
- Design of the Year: 50 points
- Grand Winner: 25 points
- Gold Winner: 15 points
- Silver Winner: 5 points
Only projects assigned to the selected Honours Programme contribute towards that programme's annual ranking. The individual designers and design teams with the highest accumulated scores are recognised as the annual recipients of the NYX Designer Honours and NYX Design Team Honours.
Can I improve my chances of receiving the honours?
Yes. Every winning project contributes towards your annual recognition score. Submitting multiple outstanding projects across relevant categories provides more opportunities to accumulate points throughout the competition year and strengthen your position for the annual honours.
